Jal Pakhwada Reading Promotion Activities : 2025

As per instruction of Ministry of Education, Govt of India is observing Jal Pakhwada from 16″ to 30th. April 2025 ensuring focused participation of students, teachers and paretns with all stakeholders to. promote Water conservation, setting up Jal Shakti Kendra intersive afforestation and awareness. generation in Schools.

It encourages students, teachers, and parents to become "Jal Rakshaks" (water guardians) and promote responsible water usage.Under this initiative School Library conducted following Activities:

Orientation Program for Class - VI

An orientation program for Class 6 students in the school library is designed to introduce young students—often new to middle school—to the library, its resources, rules, and how to use it effectively. Since this is often their first formal exposure to a library as independent users, the program is typically simple, interactive, and engaging. 

The main objective of this program is to familiarize students with the layout and sections of the library, introduce the library rules and proper behavior, show how to borrow and return books, encourage reading habits and love for books, and explain the role of the Library Teacher and how they can help

BOOK DONATION DRIVE (पुस्तकोपहार) 2025

 

Book Donation Drive is an important  Program of KVS. It is program of book donation which helps junior students for getting books from their seniors. Donating your books, textbooks and study notes can help in recycling, saves trees thus reduces pollution in the air.  

All the students of Class I, II, III, VI, IX and XI are requested to participate in the mission. Class Teachers of these classes are requested to motivate the students to bring your Study Material and Books on the day of Result declaration (27/03/2025). 

Certificates will be given by the school for BOOK DONATION.

In order to promote reading habits among the students, following activities will be conducted from 22 - 28 November 2024 under the guidance of the teachers for Primary Classes according to PM SHRI Initiatives Phase II -

1.     Book Design / Drawing                                        Class - 1

2.     Reading aloud                                                        Class - 2

3.     Kahani Sunao (Story Reading Hour)                    Class – 3^rd  to 5^th

4.     Poem recitation competition                                 Class – 3^rd  to 5^th

5.     Correct words per minute competition                  Class – 5

 

For these activities’ stationary may be purchased.

Certificates and prizes will be given to all the successful participants.

Career Guidance and Counseling Workshop for Class 12

Two session conducted for creating awareness for the students of class 12 for the Recent Trends in Computer application and Business Management on 23/10/2024.

Career Guidance Resource Material : NCERT and UNICEF

The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with UNICEF India and NCERT, released the “Career Guidance Book” on the eve of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam on 29th July 2024.

This guidance and counselling innovative resource features 500 detailed "Career Cards" designed to help students make informed decisions about their future. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, these cards offer early exposure to a variety of career options, detailing responsibilities, qualifications, and potential career paths. 

Teachers and counsellors can use these engaging and user-friendly cards to guide students toward achieving their professional goals. Let us empower the next generation with the knowledge to navigate their career journeys effectively!
